Mike has written numerous jingles for international brands including McDonalds, BT, and Cadbury as well as library albums for, De Wolfe, Sonoton, Muzikotek , Felt Music & Cute Music. His compositions are featured in various productions from CBeebies to CNN in a wide range of styles and genres. 

His musical career began in the sixties playing in various Liverpool bands at the local clubs and theatres including the famous Cavern. After moving to London in 1969 he worked in the Beatles’ Apple Studios with artists and producers including George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Phil Spector and the great Gerry Leiber and Mike Stoller to name but a few. Meanwhile his own bands, Matchbox and later Gold recorded singles and albums for CBS, EMI, RAK and Barnaby Records (USA).

Working from his recording studio within Shepperton Film Studios Mike collaborated with other writers and went on to produce film scores, songs, jingles and TV themes including the original music for the now classic “Thomas the Tank Engine” series and “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” feature film.
